Our commitment to safer gambling
Gambling with us is meant to be a form of entertainment, not a way to make money or to deal with money worries. The games on our site are games of chance, the outcome of each round is independent of the last, and over time the house holds an advantage on every game we offer. Losing is the normal result of play, so the only sensible approach is to treat what you stake as the cost of your entertainment.
Before you play, decide how much you can comfortably afford to lose and how long you want to play for. Keep that budget separate from the money you need for rent, bills, food, credit commitments and savings. If you find yourself depositing more than you planned, stop for the day and use the tools described below.
We hold a gaming licence and we verify the identity and age of every account holder. These are the principles we work to:
- Strictly 18+. Nobody under the age of 18 may open an account, deposit, play or hold a balance with us.
- You stay in control. Limits, breaks and self-exclusion are always available in your account and never require a reason.
- Lower limits apply at once. A request to reduce a limit or take a break takes effect immediately; any increase is held back by a cooling-off period.
- No pressure to keep playing. We do not encourage you to chase losses, and we do not send promotional messages to customers who have excluded themselves or asked us to stop.
- Trained staff. Our support team is trained to recognise signs of harm and to point you towards the right help.
Never gamble with borrowed money
If you are using credit, an overdraft, a loan or money from friends and family to fund your play, that is a clear sign to stop and seek support.
The safer gambling tools in your account
Every account comes with a set of controls you can switch on, tighten or extend at any time. You do not need to speak to anyone to use them, and using them has no effect on withdrawals of money already in your balance.
| Tool | What it does | When it takes effect |
|---|---|---|
| Deposit limit | Caps how much you can pay in across a day, a week or a month | A new or lower limit applies straight away; an increase applies only after the cooling-off period shown in your account |
| Loss limit | Caps the net amount you can lose over the period you choose | Immediately for a tighter limit; after the cooling-off period for a looser one |
| Session limit | Ends your playing session once the time you set has passed | From your next session |
| Reality check | Interrupts play at the interval you choose with a reminder of how long you have been playing and where you stand | From your next session |
| Time-out | Closes your account to play for a short break, typically from 24 hours up to several weeks | Immediately, and it cannot be lifted before it ends |
| Self-exclusion | Closes your account to play for a longer fixed period, after which it stays closed until you ask for it back | Immediately, and it cannot be lifted early for any reason |
How to switch a tool on
- Sign in and open the safer gambling or responsible gaming area of your account.
- Choose the tool you want and the period it should cover.
- Enter the amount or the length of the break and confirm it.
- Check the confirmation we send to your registered e-mail address and keep it for your records.
If you cannot find a setting, or you want a longer exclusion than the options shown, our live chat team can arrange it for you, or you can write to us at support@casinopure.co.uk from the address registered to your account.
Before you self-exclude
Withdraw any remaining balance first. Once an exclusion is in place we close the account to play, cancel any open bonuses and stop all marketing to you, and we will not open a new account for you while it lasts.
Signs that gambling may be becoming a problem
Problem gambling develops gradually, and it is easy to miss in yourself. Go through this checklist honestly. If more than one point sounds familiar, it is worth setting a limit, taking a break or talking to one of the organisations listed below.
- You play for longer or stake more than you intended, more often than not.
- You go back to win losses back, and deposit again straight after a losing session.
- You gamble with money set aside for bills, rent, food or debts.
- You borrow money, sell things or hide spending in order to keep playing.
- You hide how much you play from your family, your partner or your friends.
- Gambling is affecting your sleep, your mood, your work or your studies.
- You feel restless or irritable when you try to cut down or stop.
- You gamble to escape stress, boredom, loneliness or low mood.
- Other people have expressed concern about your gambling.
You do not have to wait until things become serious. Setting a deposit limit or taking a short time-out early is a normal, sensible step, and nobody will question it.
Where to get help and advice
Free, confidential support is available across the United Kingdom, whether you are worried about your own gambling or about someone close to you. We do not charge for any of this and we are not told that you have been in touch.
- GambleAware provides free, impartial information about gambling harm and directs people to treatment and support services in their area.
- GamCare offers free counselling, structured treatment programmes, group support and practical advice for gamblers and for the people affected by their gambling.
- GamStop is the free national self-exclusion scheme that blocks you from all gambling websites and apps licensed in Great Britain for a period of six months, one year or five years.
- The National Gambling Helpline gives confidential advice and support at any hour of the day, every day of the year, to anyone affected by gambling.
- Your GP can discuss the effects on your health and refer you to treatment, and a free debt advice charity can help if gambling has left you with money problems.
Registering with GamStop works separately from the settings in your account, so it applies even if you hold accounts elsewhere. We recommend using both together: a self-exclusion with us, and a national registration that covers every licensed site.
Blocking software and bank controls
Gambling blocking software can stop gambling sites loading on your phone, tablet and computer, and most UK banks let you switch on a gambling block on your debit card. Both add a useful delay between the urge and the deposit.
Protecting children and young people
It is an offence for anyone under 18 to gamble, and we take that seriously. We check the age and identity of every customer, and we may ask for documents at registration, before a withdrawal or at any later point. Until those checks are complete we may hold play and payments on the account. If we find that an account holder is under 18 we close the account, void any winnings and return deposits.
If you share a home or a device with children, please take a few simple precautions:
- Keep your username, password and payment details to yourself, and never let anyone else use your account.
- Do not save your password in the browser and always sign out when you have finished.
- Use the parental control features built into your device, your browser and your operating system, or install filtering software that blocks gambling content.
- Set up separate user profiles on shared computers and tablets, and protect your card details with a passcode.
If you believe a minor has used your account or accessed our site, contact our live chat team or e-mail support@casinopure.co.uk straight away so that we can secure the account and look into it.
